Experience pure African bliss at Camp Africa, a tented and fully equipped eco-camp nestled amongst the eucalyptus trees on a farm just outside Scarborough, Cape Town.

After an evening around the campfire circled with camping chairs, tuck yourself into bed in one of the nine comfortable, eight-sleeper tents, carpeted and furnished with double-bunks. A separate 60-seater tent is great for presentations with a digital projector and large screen; a DVD player and PA system with speakers and microphones promise a great talent show! The huge kitchen tent is equipped with fridge, freezer, cooking and eating utensils, sinks and anything else you may need. There are showers, a bath, flush toilets and basins. Next to the fire pit is a bar area which can be used for serving meals and drinks.

Directions

1. Take the M3 Freeway South and follow the Westlake Turnoff.
2. Travel up and over OU KAAPSE WEG.
3. When you come down the other side, go through lights at Longbeach Mall up to Sun Valley lights.
4. Turn right at lights and head out on KOMMETJIE ROAD, passing Masiphumelele, Imhoff’s Gift and Ocean View.
5. Just past Ocean View, turn left at the CAPE POINT signboard. You will pass Ocean View Police Station.
6. Travel up past Mountain View on the left until you reach an intersection.
7. At the intersection turn left, towards Scarborough.
8. Drive through Misty Cliffs and go right through Scarborough, (3km from Scarborough, you will reach the farm)
9. Carry on up the Rd, you will see a curio stall and some carvings, go past, till your reach the intersection
10. At the intersection you will see a sign saying Cape Farmhouse and Two Big Rocks, signposted ‘Wildschutbrand Farm’. We are on this farm.
11. Enter the Main gate and follow the white Directional signs that say ‘Camp Africa Tented Eco Centre’.
12. Follow all Camp Africa signs, through the farm gate and up the left hand side of the Gum Forest. The Camp is situated in this forest.
13. Parking is at the top of the road and is signposted.
